I'm Going to Try Psychedelics When I Retire
I don't have a huge history of using drugs. In high school, my friends and I smoked weed once in a great while (we were pretty poor, so didn't indulge very often, maybe once or twice a year).
Psychedelics, like LSD and Magic Mushrooms have always intrigued me, but after high school every job I've had have all tested for drug use. The US Army tested, and when I got out I was a dock worker and then truck driver. Having a federal commercial license means that I am subject to random urine tests, so I've never tried any drugs in the 40 years since high school.
When I retire in 5 to 7 years from now, I really want to try LSD and mushrooms at least once. I've read about DMT, which is also known as "the spirit molecule," but that one kinda scares me. Users of DMT have reported experiences with beings known as machine elves. What's interesting is users all over the world have reported coming across the machine elves while using DMT. Do machine elves exist in some sort of shared consciousness by users of DMT? Bad trips on DMT that I have read about also seem extremely terrifying. It is a short lived trip (30 minutes or so) but I've read that it sometimes seems like decades or lifetimes long while you're in it. Seems a bit much, especially if ends up being a bad trip.
I'll report back to this blog in 5 to 7 years with what I experienced on LSD and shrooms if I'm still interested enough in blogging to bother.
